No Meeting (Resurrection Sunday/Easter) Meet at Frank Holen Park at 9AM. When we have enough fish, we’ll drive to Edgemont to play in the gym and cook the fish. Troop will supply french fries and lemon pepper. Feel free to bring your favorite fish seasoning. Regular Meeting Regular Meeting Trail Life and AHG will not be meeting normally on April 22nd, due to a Passover Seder being held that night. You and your family are invited to come and participate in the Seder, but you MUST RSVP by this Monday (April 15th). If you have never been to a Seder, here is some info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNPNZTNZJbE There will be a shared meal afterwards, so here are the things you will need to include in your RSVP Note: Regular Meeting Important Updates: Here is the equipment list for Woodland Trails: https://www.edgemontbiblechurch.org/wp-content/upl… Please let me know if you need anything (including a tent for leaders/parents who are camping). The patrols will have tents planned for ahead of time. We’re in the same location as the two previous years. I will also be driving the bus there and back. We are meeting at the church at 4:50PM Friday to load the bus. If we make it back before church ends, pickup will be at Noon Sunday. Here are the sign-ups for running the competition booths on Saturday. Navigators and Adventurers should plan on leading or helping with a booth. I still need leaders for the following: We will also need leaders to make sure Trailmen are getting to the booths. I will be cooking a large batch of breakfast burritos (egg/sausage/tortillas) Saturday morning for Woodland Trails and Leaders. Feel free to bring other food if you like. Randy Hemingway sent out a great email for Nav/Adv food plans. Woodland Trails & leaders should be bringing a snack to share Friday night, a sack lunch for Saturday, food for a potluck Saturday evening, and a quick breakfast for Sunday. Finally, it’s in the packing list, but I want to highlight that we can catch and release fish in the lake, so bring a fishing pole if you have it. The troop has some, so let me know if you would like to borrow one. —————————————————————————————– We’re excited to announce this year’s all troop campout to Lake Sallateeska (https://www.ibsa.org/lake-sallateeska/) Located less than 1 hour from Fairview Heights, the 83 acre campground also has a 5 acre lake where we will be able to boat and fish. There will be a Trail Life Skills competition including fire starting, navigation, ropes and many others Saturday afternoon. If you have an idea for a competition booth and/or would like to run a booth, please let Jeffrey Pitts or Jeremy Fletcher know. There will also be a camp cookout/Dutch oven potluck that evening. Cost has been covered by this year’s fundraisers! Camp Schedule: https://www.edgemontbiblechurch.org/wp-content/upl… We will meet at church at 4:50PM to ride the bus. If you have not already, please let your patrol leadership know if your Woodland Trails (K-5th) Trailman is tenting with his patrol or Mom/Dad. Volunteer Opportunity Good opportunity for 3 service hours. Wear TrailLife T-shirt or uniform. Snacks and drinks provided. Monday 27 May @ 730am-10am Laderman Park, Belleville IL Road Guards Show up time is NO LATER THAN 7:30 am! Report in at Laderman Park to receive a safety vest and an intersection assignment. You are welcome to walk or drive to your location. Please return your vest to the Laderman Park after the 5K. Be aware that if you drive you may experience trouble getting back into the park with your vehicle after the 5K as the city blocks off the road for the parade. If you let them know you are staffing the Memorial Day Run, they will hopefully let you through, but if there are still runners out, they probably will not. You can park in the neighborhood across the street and walk into the park though. Feel free to bring a folding chair along if you don’t want to stand. A stroller or wagon is helpful if you have little ones and are walking. Water and sunscreen is recommended! Plan to use the restroom at the park before heading to your intersection. Tear Down We need as many hands on deck as possible to make this happen quickly after the 5K. Clean up is usually done by no later than 10:30 am at the park. Help is much appreciated! Thank you for supporting our fundraiser! Without you, this would not be possible. Any questions? Call or text: Amy Neuverth 618-830-3452 Todd Neuverth 618-304-9486
