No Meeting! (Labor Day) Regular Troop Meeting We are planning activities for this evening. No lessons. Please start inviting friends now! New parents and leaders should plan to attend this training. Regular Meeting & Parent Orientation/Peak 1 Training Regular Troop Meeting We are camping at the Washington County State Recreation Area Group Campsite. Located less than an hour from Edgemont Bible Church, this is a great local location for our all troop campout. Activities will include archery, fishing, canoeing, hiking, paddleboat, throwing hatchets & knives, corn hole, washers frisbee game, etc. Our Troop Committee has approved paying all costs for this campout from last year’s fundraisers, so there will be no cost to campers! Praise God for His provision. We’re looking forward to this opportunity to connect with each other in God’s Creation. Here is the camp’s brochure with a map: Washington County Conservation Area brochure We’re staying in the Little Bear Camping Area. There will be potable water and bathrooms. Law enforcement and faith institutions are key pillars of each community, and when they work together, neighborhoods thrive. A special Faith and Blue event will be hosted in the church’s parking lot 13 October, 6-8PM. We are looking for volunteers from Nav/Adv to be there around 5:30PM to help setup. Nav/Adv will rotate between serving hot dogs and chips, manning the Trail Life Information Table, and experiencing the event. The Nav/Adv will conduct an opening ceremony in the parking lot at 6PM to kick off the event. There may be a normal lesson for WT as well as time for them to experience the event, which will count as a Hit-The-Trail (HTT). Regular Troop Meeting Regular Troop Meeting Regular Troop Meeting Based on feedback from the troop, we have pushed our hike in to Nov. 7-9, 2025. The Adventurers have tentatively selected Panther’s Den. This is purposely an easy hike for first time hikers, but the scenery is fantastic. Here’s a good summary of the location: Panther Den Wilderness Guide Here is the All Trails map. We will hike in only a portion of this length, set up camp, hike the loop on Saturday, and hike out on Sunday: Panther Den Loop, Illinois – 1,205 Reviews, Map | AllTrails Here is our Hike-in equipment list: Hike-in Equipment List – Raising Trailmen Please look it over and let us know if you are missing any equipment and need to borrow it or have questions about what to buy.
