The worship team is comprised of a number of different ministries. For information about any of the ministries comprising the worship team or suggestions regarding a particular ministry, please contact Dennis Theurer at worshipteam@EdgemontBibleChurch.org
Adult Choir
Primarily associated with the morning worship service, the adult choir is
composed of individuals 13 years of age and up who desire for God to minister through them
according to his mighty working. This year, we hope to also explore visiting nursing homes
and perhaps other churches taking the message of the Lord Jesus Christ outside of our walls.
Practice times are 4:25pm to 5:30pm, Sunday evening, during which we enjoy each others
fellowship, having fun as the Lord works in us to accomplish his will. The choir season
normally runs from late August through May, breaking for the summer to allow for family
vacations and travel. The choir is always seeking new participants. So if you have a song
in your heart… and don’t worry, you don’t have to be an accomplished singer… why not joy us?
It’s a lot of fun!
Hallelujah Treble Team (Children's Choir)
Meeting during the Sunday evening service,
the Hallelujah Treble Team is a children’s choir composed of children from age 5 and up. The
Treble Team, as it is often called, learns and practices songs and musical plays, ministering
to the church body during the Sunday morning or evening worship service on a periodic basis,
from September to the end of May. During the summer months, additional practice time is
scheduled on Wednesday night, as part of the Summer Family Bible Institute. During this time
children are encouraged in scripture memory and prepare a musical play for presentation in
August, at the conclusion of the Summer Family Bible Institute.
This is a great ministry for older children and teens to learn and practice leadership skills,
working as helpers. Of course, it is also a great place for adults to work also!
Ushers
This ministry helps meet worshipper’s needs immediately prior to and during
the service. They greet worshippers as they enter the worship center, distribute bulletins
to entrants, and assist with the gathering of offerings and tithes from the congregation.
It is our desire to have enough ushers available so that they can minister on a rotating basis
of one Sunday a month. What a great way to serve the Lord, by serving others as they come to
worship Him. We would be excited for you to join us in this opportunity!
Greeters
Primarily associated with the Sunday and Wednesday worship services,
Greeters are the first ones to extend the right hand of fellowship to those coming to service.
Their warm welcome extends the love of Christ to regular and first time attendee alike,
offering helpful information about class availability and location.
Sound Technicians
Our sound technicians support our services with the ability to
amplify the message of the Gospel, record it on CD for individual distribution and post it
to the internet. If you want to help in the presentation and proclamation of the message of
the Gospel, this is a great place to serve!
Worship Musicians
Has the Lord Jesus given you a talent for instrumental music and
allowed you to develop that? Our worship musicians include all those having an ability to play
an instrument and a desire to share in the service. Primarily involving the organ and piano,
but not restricted to those instruments, our musicians assist us in the praise and worship of
our Lord Jesus Christ. Where the Lord has gifted us with multiple people desiring to serve
in this ministry, a rotation has been developed allowing all that desire, to participate on a
periodic basis. Do you have an ability in this area that you would like to use in the service
of the LORD Jesus Christ? If so, why not explore the opportunities that exist?
