Pastor Doug White
Senior Pastor
Serving for the past 25 years as the Pastor of Edgemont Bible Church, Doug holds a Bachelors degree in Biology from College of the Ozarks and a Master's Degree (I) in Biblical Studies from Calvary Bible College. He taught Greek at the Open Door Baptist Bible Institute, Kansas City, KS, and theology and biblical studies at Brookes Bible Institute, St. Louis, MO. Pastor White founded the Faith Christian School of Branson, MO and was principal of Faith Christian School, Branson, MO and Berean Christian School, Fairview Heights, IL. He has been a Consultant for Accelerated Christian Education and served on the Board of Berean Mission. He is a board member of Brooks Bible Institute of St. Louis, MO and Bible Impact Ministries of St. James, MO. He has served as Youth Pastor, Christian Education Director, and Director of Evangelism at Branson Bible Church. Pastor White is a regular speaker at Bible camps in Missouri, Colorado and Wisconsin. He has over 25 years experience with premarital, marital, family and personal counseling.
I am also a motorcycle and kayak enthusiast. I am a member of the Narrow Road Riders Christian Motorcycle Club, the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G. International), the Stone Celts Harley Owners Group Motorcycle Club (O'Fallon, Il), ABATE of Illinois (St. Clair County Chapter), American Canoe Association, Paddlesports Industry Association and a partner in Wilderness Outreach Adventures.
Doug and his wife have six children and three grandchildren.
Pastor Al Osden
Assistant Pastor - Family Life
Pastor Al Osden has served as the Pastor of Family Life for the past 4 years at Edgemont Bible Church. Al holds a Bachelors degree in Pastoral/Missions and Bible from Calvary Bible College and a Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling from Master's International School of Divinity. He was the Pastor of Youth and Evangelism at Brentwood Bible Church and came to be the Youth Pastor at Edgemont in 1993. He and his family served as missionary church planters in Brazil returning in 02. He has experience with premarital, marital, family and personal counseling.
Al and his wife have five children and one grandchild.
Assistant Pastor - Biblical Counseling
A native of Illinois, has served as a pastor in Southern Baptist Churches in Illinois and South Carolina. He holds a B.A. in Theology, an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry, and a Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling.
Presently, Dr. Tyler is the Director of Gateway Biblical Counseling and Training Center, a ministry of Edgemont Bible Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois. He is certified by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and the International Association of Biblical Counselors. Dr. Tyler is the Vice-president of the Board of Directors of Master's International School of Divinity in Evansville, Indiana. He serves on the board of directors of Personal Freedom Outreach in Saint Louis, Missouri, and is a regular contributor to The Quarterly Journal.
Dr. Tyler also lectures and leads workshops on Biblical counseling. He is the author of Jesus Christ: Self-Denial or Self-Esteem? published by Timeless Texts, Self-Esteem: Are We Really Better Than We Think? by Personal Freedom Outreach and Deceptive Diagnosis: When Sin is Called Sickness by Focus Publishing.
